In keeping with Woolston & District’s constitution and proud heritage since its formation, bowling membership is open to men.

Applications are welcomed from new and experienced bowlers.
Social membership is also available.
Full and social membership gives immediate family members use of the club’s social facilities.

Ladies wishing to bowl can join SO19 Ladies Bowling Club, which shares the green and clubhouse with Woolston & District.

New and experienced bowlers are welcome.
A friendly route into club and competitive bowls.

How to join

Your application, step by step.

We’ll make the process as straightforward as possible.

Request a form
Contact the club secretary and tell us whether you’re interested in Woolston & District, SO19 Ladies or social membership.

Complete your application
Fill in the membership application form, then email it to the secretary or deliver it by hand to the clubhouse.

Committee review
Your application will be considered at the next monthly committee meeting and you’ll be contacted afterwards.

I have never played bowls. Can I still enquire?

Yes. Both clubs welcome enquiries from people who are completely new to the game as well as experienced bowlers.

Which club should I contact?

Men interested in bowling membership should contact Woolston & District. Ladies interested in bowling membership should contact SO19 Ladies. Woolston & District also offers social membership.

What should I bring on my first visit?

Ask the club contact when arranging your visit. They can confirm the most suitable clothing, footwear and anything else you may need.

Can I join for the social side of the club?

Woolston & District offers social membership, giving you a way to enjoy the shared clubhouse and club community without bowling membership.
